Browse the selection of interviews and articles from the Arctic to Asia Cycle Tour and explore the stories of the locals I’ve met around the world:
“The Place, The Person, The Plate” is a travel blog that’s a little different; instead of providing another Brit’s opinion on the world around them, why not get the perspectives of the people that live in some of the places I visit?
So, I’m exploring the world through the eyes of local people. While cycling from the Norwegian Arctic to Central Asia, I’m publishing interviews with the people I meet along the way; documenting their stories and learning about their cultures and ways of life. You can find out more about the project on the “About Us” page.
The world is a big place, so if you want to learn a bit about life according to locals in some of the weird and wonderful places it has to offer, or just want to see someone attempt to cycle halfway across the planet with no idea what they’re doing, then this is the blog for you!
Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with the blog. If you want to see video diaries from the cycle touring side of the adventure, you can also have a gander at my YouTube channel! If you want to see how I’m doing on my journey, you can check out my Live Updates page.
